I'm copping out. I haven't been keeping up, my message centre is out of control, my subscription has lapsed, and there's just no way I'm going to be able to catch up. I'm sure I have comments to reply to that are over a year old by now.

So I'm afraid the only thing to do is to clear my message centre and devwatch out and start over. I feel really crappy about it because I used to be so good at keeping up, returning visits and leaving lots of comments, but I just don't have time anymore.

I've resubscribed, and I intend to start submitting photos again soon. The nature of my submissions is likely to be very, very different, as my interest has completely shifted since becoming a mum, but I hope some of my watchers will still be interested.

In the meantime, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the comments, favs and watches. I appreciate your interest and support very, very much, and I apologise that at this time I can't return your visits and kind words.

I've actually been playing with Flickr because I'm using it to host images for my blog, but I just can't seem to be able to get into the spirit over there. I guess I'm a dA girl at heart.

What's been going on with me? Well, I'm very busy being a mum to my almost ten month old baby boy. I've also begun portfolio building with the goal of becoming a professional portrait photographer some day in the not too distant future. I've been blogging, I'm working on a couple of business ideas, including rebranding my jewellery label, and I'm due to return to my 'real' job in July, but only for two days a week. Life never stands still!

Well hello there. Yes, it's me, I'm still alive!

If you've been wondering where I've been and what I've been doing, let me fill you in very briefly:

August/September 2006: Very busy setting up Etsy store.
October 2006: Fell pregnant and everything else in my life went out the window.
1 July 2007: Gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.
July-October 2007: Moved house and adjusted to motherhood.

My camera has been getting a major workout over the last few months: mostly photos of my son, of course.

I've renewed my subscription here, and will be getting back into various creative pursuits over the coming months, but I think I'll be using dA as more of a resource than a gallery from now on. There's just no way I'll be able to keep up with things like I used to.

I'm going to try and catch up with everyone I watch over the coming weeks. So see you around!

Wow. I literally haven't logged in or done a thing here for two months.

My sub lapsed, but I was busy with other things and had no time to spare. I'm afraid I had to clear out my devwatch box without looking because there was just no way I could do it.

I will try and get through my messages, but I can't promise when. And when that's done, I'll visit everyone on my watch list one by one to catch up.

I don't think I'll renew my sub until I'm sure that I'll have regular time to put into dA again, so no thumbs from me for a while.

I've been busy with a new business I started, selling handcrafted jewellery in person and on www.etsy.com. If anyone's interested in jewellery made of sterling silver and semi precious stones, note me and I'll direct you to the store.
